Two North Shore earned LEED Gold Certification
Energy Ace has struck gold for a fifth time - green gold. We announced the completion of our fifth gold-level LEED certified project last week. Two North Shore, a retail development in Chattanooga, TN, has been approved for a LEED Gold level certification by the USGBC. Two North Shore also marks the first gold ranking for a retail center within the state of Tennessee.
Energy Ace worked with Two North Shore property owner, Park Mills Properties; developer, CS & Associates; River Street Architects and The Strauss Company, and provided LEED administration, commissioning and energy modeling.
"This property will stand as a benchmark for what is achievable in terms of sustainability in Chattanooga buildings. We congratulate the Park Mills organization for taking a leadership position in this area and investing in this innovative project," said Wayne Robertson, PE, LEED AP, President of Energy Ace.
The gold certification is the second time Energy Ace has obtained such a distinction in Tennessee. Energy Ace worked with developers of The Hamilton on Cherry Street in Chattanooga. The one hundred year old building, which now uses 30 percent less energy than before its renovations, was awarded gold LEED status by the USGBC last month.
